An Honour for Abe

Our Founder and Chairperson, Abe Agnew, received a BEM (Order of the British Empire Medal) for services to the community and environment in Northern Ireland in the late Queen’s 2022 Birthday Honours.

Not only did Abe found Eco Rangers NI, but he has been relentless and tireless in ensuring its success. From trudging mile upon mile lifting litter with Bobbie, digging waste out of the sand in the Lough and hauling heavy metal onto the Eco Rangers Land Rover; to raising funds to kit out volunteers; to lobbying politicians, businesses and public servants alike he is the embodiment of true volunteer grit and spirit.

We are utterly delighted that his dedication and commitment has been recognised in this way.
